UBC Giving Day 2023
April 5, 2023

UBC Giving Day on April 5, 2023, will be the official launch of the BCBWP Annual Fundraising Campaign. The BCBWP is entirely donor funded and we hope to raise $500,000 annually to support the ongoing development and delivery of our classes and educational events.

We are so grateful for all the support we have received over the last three years. We have heard from so many of you who have benefited from the program. We know it is working. Now we need to ensure that we can continue to provide this service and reach many more people.

UBC Giving Day will be our first major public fundraising event this year and our goal will be to raise $50,000. You can help by sharing this with your family and friends and joining us on April 5. Thank you for your support.

April 5, 2023, 12:00 - 1:00 pm PST

Join us at our Research Seminar Series on April 5th to learn more about your brain, specifically how new cells are produced in your brain and how this might affect memory and mood. Neurogenesis, defined as the formation of new neurons in the brain, is a complex process of which our speaker, Dr. Jason Snyder, is an expert in. In this session, Jason will walk us through the basics of neurogenesis, how his lab investigates the role of neurogenesis in behaviours such as learning and decision-making, and how functions of neurogenesis in animals might translate to humans.
